About me

Computer engineer with over 20 years in SAP. I work where business meets technology: integrations, extensions and critical support.

From ECC to S/4HANA and integrations

I have spent close to two decades solving business problems inside SAP. Like almost everyone, I started on ECC: ABAP, user exits, BAdIs, VOFM routines. I know in depth how SAP has been extended over the years, which is why I understand why every Z development exists.

A large part of that time went into connecting SAP with everything else: RFC, IDoc, OData, SOAP and REST. For example, I designed an RFC exposed as a SOAP web service to post goods movements from an external system, and saw it through to a stable production rollout.

In recent years I have been taking that experience to the cloud: ABAP Cloud, RAP and CDS, SAP BTP, Integration Suite, and transport management with CTMS and gCTS. With ECC’s standard maintenance ending in 2027, companies need people who understand the old code and know how to reach the Clean Core model: deciding what goes away, what moves to BTP and what goes back to standard.

Experience

  • Industries: retail, utilities, energy, education and healthcare.
  • Critical support (AMS L3) for a large-scale retail SAP platform, under SLAs, coordinating with teams in India and the United States.
  • SAP–non-SAP integrations, synchronous and asynchronous (RFC, IDoc, OData, SOAP, REST).
  • Connectivity in hybrid landscapes: RFC configuration, gateway and IDocs during the migration of an integration platform.
  • Change governance: controlled transports up to production, with validation and traceability.

Certifications

  • SAP certification in ABAP Cloud (2026).
